Saiko Charity Cup


(DUPR Combined < 6.0)

This one-day competitive tournament features a structured Group Stage and Knockout Stage format, designed to deliver high-intensity and fair competitive play.


Tournament Categories

Two Competitive Categories:

• Men’s Doubles

• Mixed Doubles

Each category consists of a maximum of 40 teams.

The competition will be divided into:

• Group Stage (Round Robin)

• Knockout Stage

Men’s Doubles - 40 pair 

Prize pool: RM5,000 total (for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place)

1st Prize: RM2,500

2nd Prize: RM1,500

3rd Prize: RM1,000


Mixed Doubles:40 Pair

Prize pool: RM5,000 total (for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place)

1st Prize: RM2,500

2nd Prize: RM1,500

3rd Prize: RM1,000


Total Prize pool RM10,000


TIME

8:00 AM

Players are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier for check-in.


Eligibility & Rating Verification

• Player eligibility will be determined based on DUPR rating at the time of registration.

• Any rating changes after successful registration will not affect eligibility.

• Rating complaints must be raised before matches begin.

• The Organiser reserves the right to verify ratings and tournament records.

• The Tournament Committee’s decision on eligibility is final.


Individual DUPR Cap

• Each player’s individual DUPR rating must not exceed 3.5 at the time of registration.

• Teams with any player rated above 3.5 will not be eligible for this category.


Podium Rules & Regulations

To ensure fair competition and balanced matchups, the following podium eligibility rules apply:

1️⃣ Podium Restriction

The podium restriction applies to podium results achieved between November 2025 and February 2026 on the listed platforms.

Any player or team that has previously achieved a podium finish (Champion, Runner-Up, or Second Runner-Up) in a specific category is NOT eligible to compete in the same category in this tournament.

Podium records from the following platforms will be considered:

• Sportweplay

• Baseline

• AFA

• Courtsite

• Sportsync

Reclub tournaments are allowed.


2️⃣ Category-Specific Eligibility

Podium restrictions apply only to the category in which the podium finish was achieved.

Players may register for other categories provided they have no prior podium record in those categories.


3️⃣ Practical Examples

Example 1

If Tommy and Jack were Men’s Doubles Champions at the KL Open,

➜ They are not eligible to enter Men’s Doubles in this tournament.

Example 2

If Tommy and Jack have no podium record in Mixed Doubles,

➜ They are eligible to compete in Mixed Doubles.


4️⃣ Important Note

All podium eligibility will be reviewed based on available tournament records.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to verify results and make final eligibility decisions to maintain competitive integrity.


Tournament Structure

- Group Stage (Round Robin)

• Each category is divided into 8 pools

• Each pool consists of 5 teams

• Each team plays 4 matches

• Rankings determined by:

  1. Number of Matches Won
  2. Point Difference (if required)

Top 2 teams from each pool advance.

A total of 16 teams per category qualify for the Knockout Stage.


Knockout Stage

Single-Elimination Format:

• Round of 16

• Quarterfinals

• Semifinals

• Final

Winners proceed to the next round.

Losing teams are eliminated.


Match Format & Scoring

-Group Stage, R16 & Quarterfinals

• 1 game per match

• First team to 15 points wins

• Rally scoring system

• Sudden death at 14–14 (next point wins)

• Teams switch sides at 8 points

• No timeouts

• Receiver call applies

• Hydration breaks allowed

• Injury timeout: Maximum 15 minutes


-Semifinals & Finals

• Best of 3 games

• Semifinals: First to 11 points

• Finals: First to 15 points

• Serve to win at 10–10 (SF) / 14–14 (Final)

• 1-minute timeout per game (Semifinals & Finals only)

• Line judge present on court

• Medical timeout: Maximum 15 minutes


Match Regulations

• Tournament Official (TO) decisions are final.

• Tournament Director (TD) may intervene if necessary.

• Players must report to court promptly when called.

• Failure to appear may result in walkover.

• Inability to continue due to injury will result in forfeit.


Organiser’s Rights

The Organiser reserves the right to:

• Amend match format

• Adjust scheduling

• Modify structure if required

• Make final rulings on disputes

All decisions by the Organiser are final and binding.
