Description
GENERAL INFORMATION
Court of Hearts is a community-driven charity pickleball friendly competition in Penang bringing together players, brands, and supporters to rally for a meaningful cause. Returning for its second edition, this year’s event supports New Life Community Centre (NLCC), an education centre in Butterworth providing structured learning opportunities for refugee and stateless children.
100% of team registration fees will go directly to NLCC.
Held at GOAT Pickle Club in Sungai Pinang, Court of Hearts combines competitive team play, community spirit, and purpose-driven giving - proving that every rally can make a difference.

DONATION & REGISTRATION DETAILS*
- A minimum donation of RM2,000 per team is required.
- Donations for Court of Hearts 2026 are not eligible for tax exemption.
- Registration donations will be processed through Sports Sync, our Official Registration Platform, and channelled towards NLCC. However, as NLCC does not currently hold LHDN approval under Section 44(6) of the Income Tax Act 1967, donations made for this event cannot be claimed as tax deductions.
- Any payment receipt or confirmation issued by the platform is for payment acknowledgement only.
PAYMENT GATEWAY CHARGES
Please note that payments made through Sports Sync will incur payment gateway charges based on the payment method selected: 1% for FPX or 5% for card payments.
These charges are collected directly by the payment gateway and do not go to Court of Hearts, Sports Sync, or New Life Community Centre.

COMPETITION FORMAT
TEAM COMPOSITION
- Each team consists of 8–10 players.
- Teams are responsible for arranging their own line-ups and player rotations throughout the day.
- Categories included in each tie:
- Men’s Doubles (MD)
- Women’s Doubles (WD)
- Mixed Doubles (XD)
- Combined Age: Veterans Doubles (VD) - Open Gender, Min. combined total age 100yrs
- Combined Age: Junior Doubles (JD) - Open Gender, Min. 1 Junior player (15yo & below, Born 2011 and beyond) + Partner of any age
Roster Changes
Any amendments to submitted team rosters after registration has been completed must be communicated directly to the organising team via WhatsApp for manual approval and updating.

MATCH STRUCTURE
Each team tie consists of 5 doubles matches played across multiple courts:
- Men’s Doubles (MD)
- Women’s Doubles (WD)
- Mixed Doubles (XD)
- Combined Age: Veterans Doubles (VD)
- Combined Age: Junior Doubles (JD)
Every match contributes toward the team’s overall result.

PLAYER ROTATION RULES
- Team captains may rotate players throughout the day.
- Line-ups must be submitted before each tie begins.
- Each player may play a maximum of 2 doubles matches per tie.
- This means that in each team matchup, a player may only play in 2 out of the 5 matches.
- Players may only compete in categories where they meet the eligibility requirements.
Example:
- A player may play Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles against Team A.
- That same player cannot also play Veteran Doubles against Team A, as that would make it 3 matches in the same matchup.
CATEGORY ELIGIBILITY
Men’s Doubles: Male players only.
Women’s Doubles: Female players only.
Mixed Doubles: 1x male player and 1x female player.
Junior Doubles: Must include at least one eligible junior player. The second player may be of any age or category.
Veteran Doubles: Pairing must meet the event’s age requirements.

- Group Stage: Round Robin format
- Advancement: Top teams from each group proceed into the Championship Bracket
- Scoring Format:
- Group Stage & Early Knockouts: Rally 15, Sudden Death at 14-14
- Semi-Finals & Finals: Rally 21, Sudden Death at 20-20
