🏆 HEXTAR CHAIRMAN CUP
EVENT OVERVIEW
The Hextar Internal Pickleball Tournament is a team-based pickleball competition organised exclusively for Hextar Group employees. The tournament aims to encourage teamwork, employee engagement, healthy competition, and sportsmanship in a fun and energetic environment.
The event will feature a doubles rotation format consisting of a Group Stage followed by a Knockout Stage, allowing participants to compete, connect, and enjoy the growing sport of pickleball together.
⸻
📋 TOURNAMENT FORMAT
A total of 24 teams will compete in the tournament. Teams will be divided into 4 groups consisting of 6 teams each. During the Group Stage, all teams will compete in a round robin format, where every team plays against all other teams within their group to determine the standings.
At the end of the Group Stage, the Top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Quarter Finals. The tournament will then proceed in a single-elimination knockout format, with Quarter Final winners advancing to the Semi Finals, Semi Final winners advancing to the Final, and the losing Semi Finalists competing in the 3rd Place Playoff.
⸻
⚖️ TIE-BREAKING RULES
In the event that teams are tied in the group standings, tie-breakers will be applied in the following order:
• Score Difference
• Head-to-Head (H2H) Result
⸻
🏓 MATCH RULES
All matches will be played using:
• Rally scoring system
• Sudden death format
• No serve-to-win requirement
• No deuce rule
Every rally counts as a point regardless of which team is serving, and the first team to reach the designated match point wins the match.
⸻
🔄 TEAM ROTATION SYSTEM
Each team lineup must consist of:
• XD1 (Mixed Doubles 1)
• MD1 (Men’s Doubles 1)
• XD2 (Mixed Doubles 2)
Teams are required to rotate to the next pair whenever the combined score reaches a 10-point interval (e.g. 6–4, 7–3, 5–5).
This rotation system ensures equal participation and strategic gameplay throughout the match.
⸻
🎯 MATCH POINT FORMAT
• Group Stage: First team to 40 points wins the match.
• Quarter Finals onwards: Best of 3 games, first team to 30 points wins each game
⸻
