Hawkshark Challenger Series 2026 🏓

Get ready for an action-packed pickleball showdown! The Hawkshark Challenger Series 2026, proudly organised by Hawk Shark Sport Club, brings three exciting DUPR-rated tournaments (combined DUPR < 5.999) this August.

Whether you're a passionate club player or a rising competitor, this series is designed for fun yet fierce competition — fast-paced rallies, strategic dinks, and plenty of laughs between points! 🎾

Tournament Category & Schedule:

• 1 August 2026 — Women’s Doubles (32 teams) 👭
• 8 August 2026 — Mixed Doubles (32 teams) 👫
• 22 August 2026 — Men’s Doubles (32 teams) 👬

Time: Tentatively 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM for all categories.

Players are required to arrive at least 30 minutes early (by 5:30 PM) for check-in and briefing.

Registration

• Fee: RM218 per team for all categories.
• Early Bird Promotion: RM208 per team (valid until 30 June 2026)— use promo code "HAWKSHARK".
• Registration is limited to 32 teams per event and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Player Eligibility

• Combined DUPR rating of the two players must not exceed 5.999.
• Individual DUPR rating is capped at 3.2
• Players with NR (No Rating) or DUPR reliability below 50% will be deemed as 3.0.
• Anti-Manipulation Rule: Players found manipulating their DUPR rating or creating fake/new/second accounts will be disqualified without refund.
• Fluctuation of DUPR rating after registration will not affect eligibility.
• Partnership Restriction: A player who has previously won 1st or 2nd place in a specific category either on SportSync or other platforms (e.g. SportWePlay, Baseline) cannot partner with another player who has also won 1st or 2nd place in the same category.
• However, 1st/2nd place winners can partner with players who have only achieved 3rd place in the same category.
• Partnership is allowed if they have podiumed only in different categories.
• ReClub podiums are exempted.

Tournament Format

Pool Stage (Round Robin)

• 32 teams are divided into 8 pools of 4 teams each.
• Each team plays 3 matches (full round robin).
• Every pool match is a single game to 15 points, sudden death at 14-14 (no deuce).
• Teams change ends when either team reaches 8 points.

Pool Ranking Tiebreakers (in order):

1. Number of wins
2. Score difference
3. Head-to-head result

Only the top 2 teams from each pool advance to the Round of 16 (knockout stage).

Knockout Stage Format:

• Round of 16 to Quarterfinals: Single game to 15 points (sudden death at 14-14, no deuce). Teams change ends when either team reaches 8 points.
• Semifinals: Single game to 21 points (sudden death at 20-20, no deuce). Teams change ends when either team reaches 11 points. Each team gets 1 timeout of 1 minute.
• Final & 3rd/4th Place Match: Best of 3 games, each to 15 points (sudden death at 14-14, no deuce). Teams change ends only in the 3rd game when either team reaches 8 points. Each team gets 1 timeout of 1 minute per game.
• Medical Timeout: A 10-minute medical timeout will be available when needed.

Prize Structure (same for all categories):

• 🏆 Champion: RM888 cash + Medal + 2 × RM138 Hawk Shark Court Credit + 1 × Luzz Tornazo Paddle + 1 × Luzz Inferno Paddle
• 🥈 1st Runner Up: RM588 cash + Medal + 2 × RM108 Hawk Shark Court Credit + 2 × Luzz Cannon Paddle
• 🥉 2nd Runner Up: RM288 cash + Medal + 2 × RM68 Hawk Shark Court Credit
• 4th Place: RM88 cash + Medal + 2 × RM38 Hawk Shark Court Credit

Important Note

• Registration: Limited to 32 teams per event on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Eligibility & Verification: NR DUPR accounts are allowed but subject to the organiser’s verification. The organiser will use DUPR ratings and podium history recorded at the time of registration.
• Violations: Any violation of eligibility rules (including manipulation or false information) will result in immediate team disqualification with no refund.
• Refund Policy: No refunds will be provided after successful registration unless the event is cancelled by the organiser.
• Liability: Players participate at their own risk. The organiser shall not be responsible for any injury, loss, theft, or damage.
• Paddle Rule: Only USAP/USAPA-approved paddles are allowed. Players must check the official approved paddle list before competing.
• Prize Guarantee: Prize money is guaranteed only with full participation. In the event of insufficient entries, prizes may be prorated proportionally.
• Conduct & Authority: The Tournament Committee has final authority on all disputes. The organiser may issue warnings, impose penalties, or disqualify players for misconduct.
• Changes & Flexibility: The organiser reserves the right to amend schedules, court assignments, formats, or other arrangements as needed for fairness and smooth operation. Match timings are subject to change based on tournament progress.
• Organiser Rights: The organiser reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate the tournament or its Terms & Conditions at any time. All decisions by the organiser are final and binding.
