Registration Terms

  • Registration is confirmed only upon full payment.
  • Registration fees are Strictly non-refundable and non-transferable unless the tournament is cancelled by the Organising Committee.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to reject any registration that does not meet the tournament eligibility requirements.


Player Eligibility


Career High DUPR Rating


Player eligibility will be determined based on each player's Career High DUPR Rating

  • Men's Doubles Novice and Mixed Doubles Novice: Career High DUPR Rating must not exceed 3.099.
  • Men's Doubles Novice Advance and Mixed Doubles Novice Advance: Career High DUPR Rating must not exceed 3.500.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to verify all players' DUPR profiles and Career High DUPR Ratings before and during the tournament.
  • Players found exceeding the stated Career High DUPR Rating limit may be disqualified without refund.
  • Any player found providing false or misleading information regarding their DUPR profile or tournament history may be disqualified without refund.


Novice Category (Career High DUPR ≤ 3.099)


To ensure fair competition for beginner-level players, the following eligibility rules apply.

Players are NOT eligible to participate if they have previously achieved :

  • Champion
  • Runner-Up
  • 2nd Runner-Up

in any recognised pickleball tournament on YEAR 2026


Podium Count : Any podium player that achieved on 2026 is prohibted and those achieved on 2025 is eligble.


Exception

  • Podium finishes obtained in "RECLUB" tournaments are permitted and will not affect a player's eligibility for the Novice category.
  • Example , Tommy and Ricky had podium on Men doubles but Tommy and Ricky are still eligible to join Mix doubles cause both of them doesn't has any podium in Mixed Doubles .
  • If the registration date is no podium and after registered got podium that particular pair are still eligible enter this tournament.



Committee Discretion

The Tournament Director and Organising Committee reserve the right to determine a player's eligibility based on tournament history and playing ability.


Novice Advance Category (Career High DUPR ≤ 3.500)


Players with previous podium finishes ARE ALLOWED to participate in the Novice Advance category, provided their Career High DUPR Rating does not exceed 3.500.


Match Format


Round Robin ( Group Stage )

  • Rally Scoring
  • First to 15 points
  • At 14-14, the match changes to Serve to Win.


Quarter Finals ( 1 Match )

  • Rally Scoring
  • First to 15 points
  • At 14-14, the match changes to Serve to Win.


Semi Finals ( 1 Match )

  • Traditional Scoring
  • 0-0-2
  • First to 15 points
  • Serve to Win


Third Place Playoff ( 1 Match )

  • Rally Scoring
  • First to 21 points
  • At 20-20, the match changes to Serve to Win.


Championship Final ( Best of 3 )

  • Traditional Scoring
  • 0-0-2
  • First to 11 points
  • Serve to Win



Group Stage Ranking / Tie-Breaker

Teams will be ranked according to the following order:

  1. Number of Wins
  2. Head-to-Head (H2H) Result
  3. If two teams are tied on wins, the winner of their direct match will be ranked higher.
  4. Point Differential
  5. Total points scored minus total points conceded across all group-stage matches.
  6. Total Points Scored
  7. Tournament Director's Decision


Court Changeover


To ensure fairness and consistency of playing conditions, teams shall change ends/courts at the following scores:

  • Round Robin: Change court when either team reaches 8 points.
  • Quarter Finals: Change court when either team reaches 8 points.
  • Semi Finals: Change court when either team reaches 8 points.
  • 3rd / 4th Place Playoff: Change court when either team reaches 11 points.
  • Championship Final: Change court when either team reaches 6 points.


Court Change Procedure

  • Players must change sides promptly when the designated score is reached.
  • The changeover should be completed within the shortest reasonable time to avoid unnecessary delays.
  • The Technical Officer (TO) assigned to the match will monitor and facilitate the court changeover.
  • The score remains unchanged after the court change.
  • Any dispute regarding the court change shall be referred to the Tournament Director (TD), whose decision shall be final.


Time-Out & Medical Break


Time-Out

  • Time-Outs are only applicable from the Quarter Finals onwards.
  • Each team is entitled to one (1) Time-Out per match.
  • Each Time-Out is limited to one (1) minute.
  • Unused Time-Outs cannot be carried forward.


Medical Break

  • Medical Breaks may be requested when necessary.
  • The total accumulated Medical Break time for each team shall not exceed fifteen (15) minutes throughout the tournament.
  • Once a team has exhausted the maximum accumulated Medical Break time, no further Medical Breaks will be granted.
  • The Tournament Director reserves the right to approve or deny any Medical Break request.


Technical Officer (TO)


Technical Officer (TO) will be assigned to every match throughout the tournament.

The responsibilities of the TO include:

  • Observing every match to ensure fair play.
  • Monitoring compliance with tournament rules.
  • Recording and reporting any incidents or disputes.
  • Providing a factual explanation of disputed incidents to the Tournament Director (TD).

In the event of a dispute:

  • The TO will explain the incident to the Tournament Director.
  • The Tournament Director (TD) shall make the final decision regarding any disputed point, score, or interpretation of the tournament rules.
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved, or if the conduct of the players prevents the match from continuing fairly, the Tournament Director reserves the right to forfeit the match.

All decisions made by the Tournament Director are final and binding.

Tournament Rules


  • All matches shall be played in accordance with the USA Pickleball Official Rules unless otherwise stated in these tournament regulations.
  • Players must report to their assigned court immediately when called.
  • Failure to report within 5 minutes after being called may result in a Walkover (WO).
  • Warm-up time is limited to 2 minutes before each match.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the tournament schedule, match format, or court assignments if necessary.
  • Any player found providing false information regarding their DUPR rating, Career High DUPR Rating, or tournament history may be disqualified without refund.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, abusive language, racket abuse, or inappropriate behaviour may result in warnings, point penalties, match forfeiture, or disqualification.


Fair Play Policy


The objective of ULTRA CUP is to provide a fair and enjoyable competition for players competing within the appropriate skill level.

The Organising Committee reserves the right to reject or cancel any registration if a player's known playing standard is deemed significantly above the intended category, regardless of their DUPR rating or lack of DUPR history.

The Tournament Director may request additional supporting information, including previous tournament records, to determine a player's eligibility.



Code of Conduct


All participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect throughout the tournament.

Players shall:

  • Respect all Tournament Officials, Technical Officers (TO), referees, volunteers, and fellow players.
  • Refrain from using abusive, offensive, or threatening language.
  • Avoid any form of unsportsmanlike behaviour, including intentionally delaying play, distracting opponents, or damaging tournament property.
  • Accept the Tournament Director's decisions with respect and professionalism.
  • Play every match in the spirit of fair competition.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to issue warnings, point penalties, match forfeitures, or disqualifications for any misconduct deemed detrimental to the tournament.

  • Any player wishing to report or raise concerns regarding another player's eligibility, Career High DUPR Rating, tournament history, or category placement must do so before the tournament begins.
  • Once the tournament has officially commenced, no complaints, reports, or appeals regarding player eligibility, DUPR rating, or category placement will be accepted.
  • The Organising Committee will review all reports submitted before the start of the tournament and make the final decision before play begins.


Tournament Director's Decision


The Tournament Director's decision on all matters relating to:

  • Player eligibility
  • Career High DUPR verification
  • Tournament disputes
  • Match rulings
  • Interpretation of these tournament regulations

shall be final and binding. No appeals will be entertained.
