The Lions Club of New Sentral Kuala Lumpur, in proud collaboration with our Support Partners, SME Association of Malaysia & Omega Leo Club of KLCC, warmly invites you to our inaugural pickleball fundraising tournament β€” Paddle for a Purpose.

This novice-level competition is open to all doubles teams (men’s, women’s, or mixed) with a DUPR rating of 3.2 and below. Beyond the fun and excitement, this event is driven by a greater mission.

β€’ πŸ•– Reporting Time:
o Registration opens at 7:15 AM
o All players must check in at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match

πŸ“ Tournament Format & Grouping
1. Maximum Participation:
The tournament will accommodate a maximum of 192 teams, divided into 48 groups of 4 teams each.
2. Group Stage – Round Robin Format:
o Each team will play 3 matches within their group.
o Matches will be played to 11 points using rally scoring.
o No deuce β€” the first team to reach 11 points wins.
o Teams switch sides at 6 points.
o No timeouts are allowed during the group stage.
3. Advancement Criteria:
The top 2 teams from each group (based on win-loss record and points) will progress to the Knockout Stage, forming the Top 96 teams.
4. Knockout Stage – Round of 96 to Round of 32:
o Single elimination format.
o Matches played to 11 points, rally scoring, no deuce.
o Switch sides at 6 points.
o No timeout.
5. Top 16 Onwards (Quarterfinals, Semifinals & 3rd Place Match):
o Matches played to 15 points using rally scoring.
o No deuce β€” the first team to reach 15 wins.
o Switch sides at 8 points.
o Each team is allowed one (1) timeout per match (1 minute).
6. Grand Final Match:
o Played in a best-of-three games format.
o Each game is played to 11 points, rally scoring, no deuce.
o Teams switch sides at 6 points in each game.
o The first team to win 2 games will be crowned the Champion.
