Background
The Selangor Grand Slam Pickleball Tournament 2026 is a premier sporting event promoting active lifestyles, community engagement, and Selangor as a leading sports tourism destination. Organised in conjunction with Visit Selangor Year, the tournament attracts players of all ages and skill levels, creating opportunities for local participation.

- Men's Doubles 40+ DUPR <3.00 (32 teams)
- Women's Doubles 40+ DUPR <3.00 (32 teams)
Junior Categories
- Boy's Doubles Under 18 (16 teams)
- Girl's Doubles Under 18 (16 teams)
- Boy's Doubles Under 12 (8 teams)
- Girl's Doubles Under 12 (8 teams)

Notes:
- Registration is limited to the number of slots stated and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- NR DUPR accounts are allowed, subject to the organizer’s verification.
- The organizer will take into consideration all DUPR ratings and podium history recorded at the time of registration. Please note that a player’s DUPR rating may fluctuate after registration is confirmed.
- This event is intended for beginner to intermediate players.
- Participants are required to maintain a fair and accurate DUPR rating history. The organizer will review DUPR records from the past three (3) months.
- If any player is found to have violated the eligibility rules:
- The team will be disqualified.
- Registration fees will not be refunded.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
- All categories will begin with a Group Stage. Teams will be drawn into pools with an equal or nearest possible number of teams, and each team will play once against every other team within their group.
- The top two (2) teams from each group will advance to the Knockout Stage.
- The Knockout Stage will be played in a single-elimination format. Match pairings will be arranged as follows:
- 1st place from Group 1 vs 2nd place from the last Group
- 1st place from Group 2 vs 2nd place from the second-last Group
- and so on
- Winners will progress through the bracket until the final match.
- A 3rd placing match will also be held to determine the bronze medalist.
Note: The Organizer reserves the right to amend or adjust the tournament format, structure, match system, or progression criteria at any time if deemed necessary, taking into consideration participation levels, scheduling constraints, and overall event requirements.
MATCH FORMAT
- Group Stage / Round of 16 / Quarterfinal
- 1 game of Rally scoring to 15 points, sudden death
- No Time-out for Group Stage, 1 minute Time-out for each team in Knockout Stage
- Semifinal, 3rd Place Match & Final
- 1 game of Rally scoring to 21 points, sudden death
- 1 minute Time-out for each team in Knockout Stage
- The organizer may adjust the format if necessary to ensure the tournament runs on schedule.
REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY
- Open to Malaysian players only
- Entry is first-paid, first-confirmed
- Players must comply with the age and DUPR rating requirements for the category they have entered.
- Registration closes on 10 July 2026 or once all slots are filled, whichever comes first. However, the organizer reserves the right to extend the closing date at their discretion.
- All registration fees are strictly non-refundable once payment has been made.
IMPORTANT RULES
- Players must report within 5 minutes when their match is called
- Failure to report may result in match forfeiture
- All finalized match results are final
- Disputes must be raised before or during the match.
EQUIPMENT
- Pickleball paddles that follow the USAPA specification
- The official tournament ball will be provided by the organizer.
REGISTRATION FEE & GOODIES POLICY
- The registration fee is strictly for tournament participation and covers the entry of the registered player/team into the competition.
- Tournament T-shirts, goodies bags, and any additional gifts provided during check-in are subject to availability and will be distributed on a first registered, first served basis, while stocks last.
- The organizer does not guarantee the availability of such items once the allocated quantity has been fully distributed.
LIABILITY
- Players participate at their own risk.
- The organizer, venue, and sponsors shall not be responsible for:
- Injuries
- Accidents
- Loss of personal belongings
ORGANIZER RIGHTS
The organizer reserves the right to:
- Adjust schedules or match formats as necessary
- Verify player eligibility
- Disqualify players who violate rules
- Amend, combine, or cancel any category where necessary, based on participation levels and operational considerations, with reasonable notice whenever possible
- Adjust prize amounts based on the final number of registered teams in each category
All organizer decisions are final.

By registering for the tournament, participants agree to abide by all tournament rules and conditions.
