🎮 PRSL FORMAT

Each team has 6 players — 3 men and 3 womens

Each match consists of 3 games to 15 rally points, win by 2, max point cap 17

Game order for Round Robin:

Women’s Doubles

Men’s Doubles

Mixed Doubles

📋 SCORING — Rally Scoring

Points are earned on every rally.

Games must be won by 2 points and the final point must be on serve.

Players stay on their assigned side with no switching after every point.

Round Robin: rally score to 15 win by 2, capped at 17

Quarterfinals: rally scoring to 15, capped at 17

Semifinals / Finals: rally scoring to 21, capped at 23

Round-Robin Stage Rules

Each team match includes 3 doubles matches: Women’s Doubles → Men’s Doubles → Mixed Doubles.

Each doubles win earns 1 point in the Round-Robin stage; maximum 3 points per team match.

Rally scoring to 15; at 14-all, win by 2; score capped at 17.

Before the end of the full group stage, all 6 current official players must play at least once. The group stage includes both Round-Robin and Bonus Challenge.

Failure to meet the mandatory participation rule deducts 1 point from the original Round-Robin score before final-score calculation.

CHALLENGE MATCH

Bonus Challenge Rules

After the Round-Robin stage, teams enter the Bonus Challenge Round; each challenge is one doubles match.

Teams may freely choose Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, or Mixed Doubles.

The winning team earns 3 basic points; the losing team earns 0 points.

Ban Card Mechanism & Procedure

Each team receives 1 Ban Card for each Bonus Challenge match.

A Ban Card may ban 1 opposing player from that Bonus Challenge match.

• A Ban Card may only target a player who appeared in the Round-Robin stage; it cannot target a player who has not yet appeared.

A Ban Card may ban a player only; it cannot ban a doubles pairing or a match category.

If a team gives up its Ban Card and wins, it receives +1 No-Ban Bonus; once declared, the Ban Card is forfeited for that match.

Final Group Score Formula

Final Group Score = Effective Round-Robin Score × 7 + (Basic Bonus Challenge Score + Special Bonus) × 3 + No-Ban Bonus

Scoring Examples

Rule effect: a team that wins the Round-Robin 3:0 cannot be fully overturned by the Bonus Challenge; a 2:1 lead may be reversed by the Bonus Challenge.

Group Ranking & Knockout Stage

Teams are ranked by Final Group Score; the top 2 teams from each group advance to the knockout stage.

If tied, compare in this order: Head-to-head Result → Total Point Difference → Total Match Wins → Golden-point Matches → ZRS Ranking → Draw.

The knockout stage is single elimination. Each team match is best of three: Women’s Doubles → Men’s Doubles → Mixed Doubles. The first team to win 2 matches advances.

Quarterfinals: rally scoring to 15, capped at 17. Semifinals / Finals: rally scoring to 21, capped at 23.
